Description
The Patagonian Eelpout is a robust, elongated marine fish with a large, flattened head and prominent lips, adapted to cold, benthic environments. Found in the waters off southern South America, it is a predatory species that feeds on benthic invertebrates and small fish. Due to its specialized cold-water requirements, it is rarely kept in home aquariums.
