Description
The Palezone Shiner (*Notropis albizonatus*) is a small, slender freshwater fish characterized by its silvery body and a distinct pale stripe along its sides. It is an endangered species endemic to clear, cool streams in the Tennessee River drainage of Alabama and Tennessee. This schooling fish primarily feeds on small invertebrates and algae, and its conservation status makes it unsuitable for typical home aquaria.
