Description
The Oriental Flying Gurnard is a distinctive marine fish recognized by its large, wing-like pectoral fins, which it can spread wide to deter predators or for display. It typically inhabits sandy or muddy bottoms, using its pelvic fins to 'walk' along the substrate while foraging for small invertebrates. Its mottled coloration provides excellent camouflage against the seafloor.
