Description
The Orangefin Madtom is a small, nocturnal freshwater catfish native to river systems in Virginia and North Carolina. It is characterized by its slender body, barbels around the mouth, and often subtle orange or reddish coloration on its fins. These shy bottom-dwellers prefer clear, flowing water with rocky or sandy substrates and plenty of hiding places.
