Description

The Opal Apistogramma (Apistogramma borelli) is a beautiful and relatively peaceful dwarf cichlid known for its striking iridescent blue and yellow coloration, particularly in males. They are native to the soft, acidic waters of the Paraguay and Paraná River basins in South America. While generally suitable for community tanks, males can exhibit territorial behavior, especially during breeding.
