The Niangua Darter is a small, colorful freshwater fish endemic to the Ozark Highlands of Missouri, USA. It inhabits clear, cool streams with gravel and cobble substrates, feeding on aquatic insect larvae. This species is federally listed as threatened and is not suitable for general aquarium keeping.
