Description

Ancistrus multispinis is a species of armored catfish native to coastal drainages of southeastern Brazil, known for its flattened body and suckermouth. Males develop prominent fleshy tentacles on their snouts, giving them the 'bristlenose' appearance. They are excellent algae eaters and a popular, peaceful addition to community aquariums.
