Description
The Mottled Grouper, often identified as the Black Grouper, is a large, predatory marine fish characterized by its mottled brown and grey coloration, providing excellent camouflage in its reef and rocky habitats. This solitary hunter ambushes its prey, primarily smaller fish and crustaceans. Due to its immense size and highly predatory nature, it is not suitable for most home aquariums and requires expert care in very large, specialized public or commercial setups.
