Description

The Meyer's Butterflyfish is a striking marine fish known for its distinctive pattern of curved black lines on a white to pale blue body, accented with yellow fins. It is an obligate corallivore, feeding exclusively on coral polyps in its natural habitat, making it extremely challenging to keep in a home aquarium. This species requires a very large, mature, and stable reef tank environment.
