Description

The Megrim (*Lepidorhombus whiffiagonis*) is a large, commercially important flatfish native to the cold, temperate waters of the Northeast Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea. This bottom-dwelling ambush predator camouflages itself on sandy or muddy substrates to hunt smaller fish, crustaceans, and cephalopods. Due to its significant size and specific coldwater marine requirements, it is not typically kept in home aquariums.
