Description

Megalonema platycephalum is a large, predatory freshwater catfish characterized by its elongated body, flattened head, and exceptionally long barbels. Native to the Amazon and Orinoco river systems, it requires a very spacious aquarium with excellent filtration. This species is a carnivore, feeding on smaller fish and invertebrates in the wild.
