Description

The Knout Goby is a small, bottom-dwelling fish characterized by its mottled brown and cream coloration, providing excellent camouflage on sandy or muddy substrates. Native to the Black Sea and surrounding basins, it inhabits brackish estuaries and coastal lagoons. This carnivorous species is generally peaceful but can exhibit territorial behavior towards conspecifics, requiring a sandy substrate for burrowing.
