Description

The King-of-the-salmon is a large, silvery, deep-sea ribbonfish found in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. It is characterized by its elongated, compressed body and a prominent reddish dorsal fin that runs the length of its back. This predatory fish inhabits mesopelagic and bathypelagic zones, feeding on squid, crustaceans, and smaller fish, and is not suitable for home aquaria.
