Description
The Hitch is a large, silvery minnow native to California's Central Valley and coastal drainages. It is characterized by its slender body and upturned mouth, adapted for surface feeding on insects and algae. While not a common aquarium fish, it plays an important ecological role in its native habitats and requires a spacious, cool-water setup if kept.
