Description
The Gulf Sturgeon is a large, anadromous fish native to the Gulf of Mexico and its tributary rivers. This subspecies of Atlantic Sturgeon is known for its elongated snout, bony scutes, and migratory behavior between freshwater spawning grounds and marine feeding areas. It is a critically endangered species and not suitable for private aquariums.
