Description

The Gulf Kingcroaker is a silvery, elongated marine fish commonly found in sandy surf zones and shallow coastal waters. This bottom-dwelling carnivore uses its barbels to forage for small crustaceans, worms, and other benthic invertebrates. While primarily a food fish, it can be kept in a large, species-appropriate marine aquarium.
