Description

Glyptothorax schmidti is a unique Sisorid catfish known for its flattened body and specialized adhesive apparatus on its chest, allowing it to cling to rocks in fast-flowing rivers. Native to Southeast Asia, this species requires a highly oxygenated aquarium with strong current and plenty of smooth surfaces. They are generally peaceful but can be territorial towards conspecifics if space is limited.
