Description
The Gecko Pencil Catfish, a member of the Trichomycterus genus, is a small, mottled catfish native to cool, fast-flowing streams of South America. These nocturnal carnivores are shy and require excellent water quality with strong current and high oxygenation. While generally peaceful, they are opportunistic feeders and may prey on very small fry or invertebrates.
