Garra shamal, also known as the Oman Garra, is a freshwater fish native to the wadis and mountain streams of Oman. It is an active, bottom-dwelling species known for its algae-grazing habits and distinctive sucking disc on its chin. This species thrives in well-oxygenated tanks with strong current and plenty of rocks for grazing.
