Description

The Galápagos Snake Eel is a distinctive marine eel characterized by its elongated, snake-like body and mottled brown and white coloration, providing excellent camouflage on sandy or rocky substrates. It is a nocturnal predator that burrows into the sand during the day, emerging at night to hunt small fish and crustaceans. This species requires a large aquarium with a deep sand bed for burrowing.
