Description
The Galápagos Garden Eel is a unique marine fish that lives in colonies, burrowing into deep sandy substrates with only its head and upper body visible. They feed on zooplankton carried by ocean currents, swaying gently in the water. This species requires a highly specialized aquarium environment with a very deep sand bed to accommodate their burrowing behavior.
