Description
The Flathead Sole is a large, commercially important flatfish native to the cold, deep waters of the North Pacific. It is a benthic predator, feeding on a variety of invertebrates and small fish found on the seafloor. This species is characterized by its flattened body, both eyes on one side, and excellent camouflage against sandy or muddy substrates.
