Description

The Fire Eel is a large, nocturnal freshwater fish characterized by its elongated body and striking red or orange stripes and spots against a dark background. While generally peaceful with larger tankmates, they can be predatory towards smaller fish and require a spacious aquarium with ample hiding spots. They are known for their shy nature but become more active during feeding times.
