Description
The Dwarf Sand Perch (Diplectrum bivittatum) is a unique saltwater fish found in the Western Atlantic, known for its ability to bury itself in sandy substrates. This bottom-dwelling carnivore exhibits cryptic coloration, often with horizontal stripes, and can reach up to 10 inches in length. It makes an interesting addition to a mature, larger marine aquarium with a deep sand bed, though care must be taken with very small tankmates.
