Description
The Dotterel Filefish (Cantherhines dumerilii) is a distinctive marine fish known for its pale body adorned with numerous small blue spots and a prominent dark blotch on its side. It is an omnivore that feeds on a variety of benthic invertebrates and algae. While generally peaceful towards other fish, it is not considered reef-safe due to its tendency to nip at corals and sessile invertebrates.
