Description

The Dot-and-dash Butterflyfish is a beautiful marine species recognized by its distinctive pattern of black dots on the anterior body and black dashes or stripes on the posterior, set against a yellow-gold background. Native to the Western Pacific, it is an omnivore that requires a varied diet and a mature saltwater aquarium. While generally peaceful with dissimilar tankmates, it can be semi-aggressive towards other butterflyfish and may nip at corals.
