The Dalmatian minnow (*Telestes hügelii*, formerly *Aulopyge hügelii*) is a small, freshwater cyprinid endemic to the Dinaric Karst region of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It inhabits clear, cool, and well-oxygenated waters, often in underground systems or karst springs. This species is not commonly found in the aquarium trade due to its specific environmental needs and conservation status.
