Description

The Crystal Tetra, also widely known as the Redeye Tetra, is a hardy and active schooling fish native to various river basins in South America. It is characterized by its silvery body, prominent red eyes, and yellow-tinged fins, often with a distinct black spot at the base of the caudal fin. While generally peaceful in large schools, they can exhibit fin-nipping behavior towards slow-moving or long-finned tankmates if not kept in appropriate numbers or tank size.
