Description

The Common Gudgeon is a small, bottom-dwelling freshwater fish native to Europe and parts of Asia. It has a mottled brown coloration that provides excellent camouflage against riverbeds and is characterized by its elongated body and two small barbels at the corners of its mouth. These peaceful omnivores are often found in shoals, sifting through substrate for small invertebrates and detritus.
