The Common Bream is a large, deep-bodied freshwater fish native to slow-moving rivers, lakes, and ponds across Europe and Western Asia. It has silvery-bronze scales and a distinctive high-backed profile. Primarily a bottom feeder, it sifts through substrate for invertebrates and plant matter.
