Description

The Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid is a vibrant and popular South American cichlid, named for the male's distinctive dorsal fin. Females, like the one pictured, display bright yellow coloration with prominent black markings, especially when breeding and caring for fry. They are excellent parents and thrive in well-planted aquariums with plenty of hiding spots and soft, acidic water.
