Description
The Coastal Cutthroat Trout is a predatory subspecies of Cutthroat Trout native to the Pacific Northwest. Distinguished by its red or orange slash marks under the jaw, it inhabits cold, highly oxygenated freshwater streams and can also be anadromous, spending time in coastal marine environments. Due to their large size, specific cold water requirements, and predatory nature, they are generally not suitable for typical home aquariums.
