Description
The Chefoo Thryssa (*Thryssa chefuensis*) is a schooling anchovy species found in the coastal and estuarine waters of the Western Pacific, particularly off China. It exhibits a slender, silvery body with iridescent scales, typical of pelagic baitfish. Primarily a carnivore, it feeds on planktonic crustaceans and small invertebrates, and is not commonly kept in home aquariums due to its specialized needs.
