Description
The Atlantic Butterfish is a deep-bodied, silvery marine fish with a small mouth and a deeply forked caudal fin. They are schooling fish found in coastal waters of the western Atlantic, feeding primarily on zooplankton and small invertebrates. While commercially fished, they are not typically kept in home aquariums due to their size, schooling nature, and specific environmental requirements.
