Description
The Bristlenose Pleco, specifically Ancistrus triradiatus, is a popular and hardy freshwater catfish known for its unique flattened body and the 'bristles' or odontodes on its snout, which are more prominent in males. It is an excellent algae eater and a peaceful addition to most community aquariums, preferring tanks with plenty of driftwood and hiding spots.
