Description

The Ribbon Bristlemouth (Diplophos taenia) is a deep-sea fish found in the mesopelagic and bathypelagic zones of oceans worldwide. It possesses an elongated, slender body and numerous bioluminescent photophores along its flanks. This species is a carnivore, preying on zooplankton and small invertebrates, and is not suitable for home aquariums due to its extreme habitat requirements.
