Description

Bonefish are sleek, silvery marine fish renowned for their speed and elusive nature, making them a popular target for sport fishing. They inhabit shallow tropical and subtropical waters, often found rooting for benthic invertebrates and small fish over sand flats and in mangroves. Due to their large size, active nature, and specialized needs, they are not suitable for typical home aquariums and are rarely seen outside of very large public aquariums.
