Description
The Bluegrass Darter is a small, colorful freshwater fish endemic to the Green River system in Kentucky. Males display vibrant blue spots along their flanks and orange fins, especially during breeding. They are bottom-dwelling insectivores that prefer clear, cool, flowing water with rocky or gravel substrates.
