Description
The Blackbellied Anglerfish is a large, bottom-dwelling marine fish known for its flattened body and excellent camouflage, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the seabed. It is an ambush predator, using a modified dorsal fin ray as a lure to attract prey within striking distance of its large, toothy mouth. This species is not suitable for typical home aquariums due to its size, specialized deep-water requirements, and predatory nature.
