Description
The Black Sand Bass is a predatory saltwater fish native to the temperate waters of the Eastern Pacific. It typically inhabits sandy bottoms, rocky reefs, and kelp forests, feeding on smaller fish and crustaceans. This species requires a very large, mature aquarium with excellent filtration and cooler water temperatures.
