Description
The Black Ghost Knifefish is a unique nocturnal species known for its undulating lower fin and ability to generate a weak electric field for navigation. They are typically dark-bodied with a distinctive white band on their tail, requiring a large, well-planted aquarium with plenty of hiding spots. While generally peaceful with larger tankmates, they can be territorial with conspecifics and may prey on very small fish.
