Description

Betta splendens, commonly known as the Siamese Fighting Fish, is a popular freshwater fish renowned for its vibrant colors and elaborate fins. Males are known for their territorial and aggressive nature towards other males, but can be peaceful with appropriate tankmates in a sufficiently sized aquarium. They are labyrinth fish, meaning they can breathe atmospheric air from the surface.
