Description
The Betta fish, also known as the Siamese Fighting Fish, is a popular freshwater species renowned for its vibrant colors and elaborate fins, especially in males. While males are highly territorial and aggressive towards other males, they can be kept with certain peaceful tankmates in appropriately sized aquariums. Bettas are labyrinth fish, meaning they possess a special organ that allows them to breathe atmospheric air.
