The Betta Fish, also known as the Siamese Fighting Fish, is a popular freshwater species renowned for its vibrant colors and elaborate fins, especially in males. Males are highly territorial and aggressive towards other males, often requiring solitary housing or careful selection of tankmates. They are labyrinth fish, capable of breathing atmospheric air, and are known for building bubble nests when ready to breed.
