The Betta Fish, also known as the Siamese Fighting Fish, is a popular freshwater fish renowned for its vibrant colors and flowing fins. Males are famously aggressive towards each other, but can be kept with certain peaceful tankmates in appropriately sized aquariums. They are labyrinth fish, meaning they can breathe atmospheric air, and are known for building bubble nests during breeding.
