Betta fish, also known as Siamese Fighting Fish, are popular freshwater fish renowned for their stunning colors and elaborate finnage, especially in males. While beautiful, males are highly territorial and aggressive towards other males, requiring individual housing or careful selection of tankmates in larger community setups. They are labyrinth fish, capable of breathing air directly from the surface.
