Description
Basilichthys microlepidotus is a slender, silvery South American silverside native to rivers and lakes in central and southern Chile. This omnivorous fish feeds on insects, crustaceans, and some plant matter. While not commonly found in the aquarium trade, it requires cool, clean water and ample swimming space.
