Description
This benthic marine fish, often referred to as a scorpionfish, is an ambush predator with excellent camouflage. It possesses venomous spines on its dorsal fin, requiring extreme caution during handling. Its mottled reddish-brown coloration helps it blend seamlessly with rocky and sandy substrates, making it a challenging but rewarding species for expert aquarists.
