Description
The Banded Scalyfin, also known as the Black-and-gold Damselfish, is a vibrant marine fish recognized by its bright yellow or orange head and a contrasting dark blue to black body. This territorial species is native to the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific, where it feeds on a mixed diet of algae and small invertebrates. It requires a well-established saltwater aquarium with plenty of rockwork for hiding and grazing.
