Description

Amphilius athiensis is an African stream catfish characterized by its elongated, somewhat flattened body and prominent barbels, adapted for life in fast-flowing waters. Native to the Athi River system in Kenya, it is a nocturnal bottom-dweller that preys on small invertebrates. This species requires a well-oxygenated tank with good water flow and plenty of hiding spots.
